Books are like Air ...

Without books, life would be sooo... boring. Don't you think?

I'm a moody reader. I know what I like and love to share what I think about what I read.

It really is just that simple.

Her Mad Hatter - Marie Hall 07/11/2013 --Overall Rating = 4.5 StarsBook Cover / Book Blurb / Book Title = 5 / 5 / 4 = 4.5 StarsWriter’s Voice = 4 StarsCharacter Development = 5 StarsStory Appreciation = 4 StarsWorth the Chili = 5 Stars [$Free on Amazon as of 07/13/2013]!!Two words to describe my feelings about this book:1 -- Unique2 -- RefreshingI thoroughly enjoyed this one. I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did. I recently read another by this author; A Moment [bc:A Moment|17602565|A Moment (Moments, #1)|Marie Hall|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1363041618s/17602565.jpg|24547927]. The author made such an impression on me, I had to have more. However, all she had available were some strange books that looked like childhood fairy tales - refurb'd. Hmmm.... a dilemma. This one was free, so ... why not? LOVED IT!!What did I like?1 -- Look at my "two words to describe" -- this book was refreshing and unique. Alice in Wonderland. She told this one in so much detail that you know she lived in these fairy tales analyzing them and then reconstructing them. She did an absolutely glorious job and I appreciate her efforts.2 -- This story is all about the characters. Imagine, taking characters we all loved in childhood and reworking the story. Bring some modern day elements and weaving in romance. It could have gone so far off track and have been so wrong for me. The potential for me to HATE this one were HUGE. I didn't hate it. I loved it and appreciate the authors efforts so much, I've purchased all in this series and have my daughter reading and loving them.3 -- The cover is fabulous. FABULOUS!!Was there anything I didn't like?1 -- The story did drag just a bit. A teensy little bit.2 -- I would have loved for the richness in detail to have lasted a bit longer. It is a rather short read; a novella of 130 pages or so.3 -- LOVED everything else. Absolutely.I hope you take a chance on this one. I is really nice. It doesn't take long to suck you in and you will be very nicely surprised -- just like I was.Try it. You will be SO HAPPY YOU READ this one! Trust me...
